At Pristine Family Dentistry, we are dedicated to your oral health. At your initial exam, you will receive a comprehensive analysis of your teeth, gums, and bite. If any problems are discovered, conservative, effective treatment will be recommended to correct these issues.
At your regular cleaning and checkup visits at Pristine Family Dentistry, your status will be reviewed and ongoing recommendations will be made to maximize the effectiveness of your dental healthcare routine at home to maintain your healthy smile.
Exams & Cleanings
Even if you maintain good oral hygiene in your daily routine, regular in-office exams are essential for preventing disease and mitigating problems early. Comprehensive oral exams can help prevent problems, before they become emergencies.
TMJ/TMD Treatments
Your temporomandibular joint is located close to your ear, between your upper and lower jaw. People with Temporomandibular Joint Disorder (TMD) can experience severe pain or discomfort that may either be temporary or last for many years.
Root Canals
A root canal is a procedure used to treat severely decayed or infected teeth. The inside of a tooth contains a soft material called the pulp. It is a nerve that allows the tooth to feel sensations. If the exterior of a tooth becomes damaged to the point where the pulp is exposed, an infection may occur.
Gum Disease
Periodontitis, or gum disease, is a bacterial infection that can result in damaged gums and ultimately, loss of teeth. When plaque builds up along the gum line, gums become inflamed and begin to pull away from the teeth. This is why it is very important to remove the sticky film of plaque that forms on the teeth every day!
Tooth Extraction
If damaged or misaligned teeth cannot be corrected with cosmetic or orthodontic procedures, a tooth may need to be removed from the mouth. Some cases in which a tooth might require extraction are if it is blocking other teeth from coming in, does not leave space for orthodontic work, or has deteriorated beyond repair.
